I was able to visit my dear Samford friends in Atlanta last weekend.  Emma and her husband just bought an awesome townhouse and we all wanted to see it and see each other.  We had so much fun.  We talked, played catch phrase, saw a movie and did a little shopping.  These girls are all so encouraging to me and I am so thankful for them!!

We had VBS last week at our church.  I was able to help here and there, but I was also able to get some really fun pictures of the kids.  They all did such a great job and memorized A LOT of scripture!!  Pastor Archie and I, along with a few others were able to be the folks that listened to the kids reciting their verses!!! There were two kids that live next door to our friends here in greenwood that are not believers.  I was able to listen to the kids write God's word on their heart!!!! Scripture will NOT come back null and void!!  It makes my heart so happy!!!

Ready for a swim!
Sweet Watermelon!!
The sunset over the grilling area.
Russ, Karen and Carlos....full from burgers.
Carlos and I were able to go to Calhoun Falls State Park on Sunday afternoon (it's about 30 minutes from our house).  We went to the beach and swam in the lake, ate watermelon, cooked burgers and did a little fishing as the sun was going down.  It was a great great day!!!  We hope to have many more like this this summer.

Our friend Brian turned 30 on Friday and so his sweet wife invited 15 of us over for a NICE dinner and yard games (Bocce ball and Bolo Ball). It was a blast.

There has been some new life in our yard.  Anytime Carlos was near the bird, he would open his mouth to eat. He must be a natural parent!  (We stayed far enough away from the bird so that his mother would come back to help him).

                                                                  My first tomatoes!
Hydrangea Bushes
Yucca plants
Day lilies
Magnolia tree
Now that we have lived in our house in Greenwood for a year, we have been able to see the growth of plants and flowers through the whole year.  Here are a few pictures of the last few weeks.
