Our little soccer player
Little Baby Boy Acosta has been growing a lot lately and has decided that soccer is so much fun inside my belly. He plays all day long...and all night long. :) I am enjoying every minute of it...even when it keeps me awake. I think he is practicing for the World Cup!!!! Carlos finally got to feel it the other day!
Christmas Tree
Carlos and I were able to take a break out of the busy schedule recently and get our Christmas tree. We had fun picking it out....and decorating it. Of course, the dogs had to be a part of it and were very interested in decorating, as well as wrestling with Carlos!!!! We slept by the tree and fire that night and enjoyed the start of the Chrsitmas season.
Mae Virginia
After Thanksgiving, I was able to briefly visit mom, dad, Kim, Brax, Thomas and the new addition....Mae Virginia. I was so glad to be able to meet my cute little niece and play with my newphew!!! He has A LOT of energy....and I was ready for bed by 8 o'clock. I guess I know what to expect now! :) Kim and Brax are such amazing parents. I pray to be even half of what they are.

Baby Boy Acosta
We are excited and thankful to say that we are having a baby boy!!!!!!! We are hoping that it looks just like Carlos!!! :) He was the most beautiful baby!!! (and is so cute now!) :) We are so thankful that all is well on the ultra sounds. I wish I could post a picture, but I don't have a scanner. I am almost 20 weeks (halfway to meeting the little guy). We can't wait to introduce him to the world!!!
Hilton Head girls' weekend!!!
Mom and Kim and I got to go on an awesome girls' weekend in Hilton Head, SC this month. (Thanks Dad!) It was SO SO relaxing and SO SO fun. We laughed a lot and shopped a lot!! We also got to eat really good food!!!! We got to see the pier, the boats and the beautiful ocean!!!!!!! It was also the first time that Mae and Baby Boy Acosta were together (although they were hibernating in the bellies). God is Good!!

Carlos and were able to go on a 2nd Anniversary/2nd Trimester trip to Myrtle Beach this past week. It was a glorious time. We got to rest, spend time on the beach, walk, read, sleep, go to Medieval Times, Putt Putt, and much more! God was so faithful to give us time away to regroup and revisit the last two years. It is fun to get to think of what the next 2 years will hold for us and for the addition of Lil' Acosta. Thank you Lord for this time!!!!!!

I know it seems like we are getting ahead of ourselves, but we found this awesome set on craigslist for a really great price. The sweet family happened to be in Greenwood and could even deliver it to our house. It was such a blessing from the Lord. We won't work on the rest of the nursery for a while, but we were so excited to get this up!!! The blanket that is on the crib was on my mom and my Aunt Jayne's crib which is such a sweet gift to us!! Grandma Lu...do you see the cover on the changing table? We don't have the pads yet so that sweet pillowcase will be there for a while! :)

I was able to visit my dear Samford friends in Atlanta last weekend. Emma and her husband just bought an awesome townhouse and we all wanted to see it and see each other. We had so much fun. We talked, played catch phrase, saw a movie and did a little shopping. These girls are all so encouraging to me and I am so thankful for them!!
We had VBS last week at our church. I was able to help here and there, but I was also able to get some really fun pictures of the kids. They all did such a great job and memorized A LOT of scripture!! Pastor Archie and I, along with a few others were able to be the folks that listened to the kids reciting their verses!!! There were two kids that live next door to our friends here in greenwood that are not believers. I was able to listen to the kids write God's word on their heart!!!! Scripture will NOT come back null and void!! It makes my heart so happy!!!

Ready for a swim!
Sweet Watermelon!!
The sunset over the grilling area.
Russ, Karen and Carlos....full from burgers.
Carlos and I were able to go to Calhoun Falls State Park on Sunday afternoon (it's about 30 minutes from our house). We went to the beach and swam in the lake, ate watermelon, cooked burgers and did a little fishing as the sun was going down. It was a great great day!!! We hope to have many more like this this summer.
